Appearance: Hairy and green central stem, and once mature, it has flowering side branches present on the top half of the plant,  flowers are showy, purplish pink coloured

Light Requirements: Full sun – Part sun

Bloom Time: Mid-summer

Uses: Fixes nitrogen in soil, larval host for Silver spotted skipper butterfly, Hoary edge butterfly,  

Site and soils: dry to moist soil, drought tolerant once established
